Operatives of Lagos state command have arrested one Olarinde Akingbala and 10 others youth at viewing centre on 28th Nov night.

Sahara weekly learnt that the police team stormed a popular hotel, Candle Light hotel at Abu Ode street,Pipeline,Idimu Lagos, where they are watching football match.

Comr. Francis Nwapa, the National Secretary of Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) confirmed this through press statement.

Nwapa noted that since the end protest,  #EndSars, the Lagos police command  continued to arrests innocent youth in their usual fashion of raiding viewing centres and streets arresting young Nigerians and deny them communication with their family members.

According to him ,we have been informed that Olarinde Akingbala and others victims will be transferred to Ikeja headquarters tomorrow on allegation of a hoodlums that participated in the looting that characterized the aftermath of #EndSARS Protest.

YRC demands an immediate and unconditional release of Olarinde Akingbala and other currently detained by Police formations across the country.

We are not opposed to crime fighting. What we are against is the police profiling and raiding innocent youth in the name of fighting crime whereas the objective is extortion. We will continue to follow the case of Olarinde Akingbala and 10 others and update accordingly
