.....A Bad Market for any government
There are series of reasons why Honorable Farouq Akintinde cannot chair Abeokuta South Local Government, firstly he lacks leadership skills to manage resources and people.
Farouq Akintunde is well known by all and sundries in Abeokuta South local government for demanding huge sum of money from aspirants before supporting their aspiration, a clear example is from Senator Olamilekan Solomon of Lagos West during his campaign for Governorship seat in Ogun state but later settled for Senatorial seat in Lagos west.
Honorable Farouq Akintude is a proud type, who believes politics is a raw business, he had billed past and present elected house of assembly and house of representatives, he doesn't listen to advise of people and cannot work with people, he has written many petition against people silently but later appeared to many leaders in the south.
Another is of that Honorable Prince Ayo Adesina who contested in All Progressives Congress APC but later decamped to Social Democratic Party SDP on the struggle to secure the house of representatives ticket when he was denied his mandate at APC during 2019 election... It is on record that Honorable Farouq Akintunde demanded for series of meetings with Ayo Adesina but got negative response.
Also, A thorough investigation reveled that Honorable Farouq Akintude has many issues with the leaders in Abeokuta South ranging from fraudulent and dubious transactions with Leader Egunjobi to mention few among many he has duped of their resources.
It may also interest you that Hon Akintude Farouq had issues of supremacy with the Senior Special Adviser to Governor on Political Matters, Rt. Hon Tunji Samson Egbetokun over who senior who in politics, which one attract the intervention of some leaders to wade into the matter.
It is not an exaggeration that if Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun makes Honorable Farouq Akintude Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, he would sell the whole property and give the people's governor a bad name in Abeokuta South.
