The chairman Senate Committee on Trade and Investment, Senator Rose Okoh ,died at UK hospital last night ,she is 63 years old
She is the chairman Senate Committee on Trade and Investment and Senator representing Cross Rivers North senatorial district.
Also a second term Senator, she was elected into office as the first female representative from her Senatorial District in June 2015 and re-elected in 2019.
Before her elevation to the Red Chamber, she represented Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 7th National Assembly.
Her death making fourth number of lawmakers in the 9th National Assembly who had passed on. The other two were Senators Benjamin Uwajumogu, Adebayo Osinowo and Longjan Ignatius Datong, who represented Imo North and Plateau South Senatorial District, respectively.
