The National Executives Council of the Alumni Association of D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, led by her National President, Comr. Oyewole Moses Oluwafemi, alongside other executives, paid a courtesy visit to the Rector, Mr. kehinde Job Olatunji, in a familiarization visit and presentation of an award as the patron of the Association.
According to Comr. Oyewole Moses Oluwafemi (ALUMNI PRESIDENT),Comr. Olorunnisola Ebunoluwa ( General Secretary), The National President in his word said “The visit is predicated on the need to appreciate the management of the polytechnic ably led by the rector for the outstanding performances, resource management and posturing administrative prowess which have all metamorphosed into the astronomical development of the polytechnic”.
During the visit, the National Alumni Executives presented an award as the patron of the Association to the Rector, alongside the Registrar of the Polytechnic as the Vice patron as enshrined in the Constitution.
In his remarks, the Rector expressed appreciation for the timely visit, noting that he was delighted that the Association has made so much progress. He promised to give the Association a helping hand and support whenever such needs arise.
He assured that the management would continue to ensure cordial relationships and create an enabling environment for the Alumni and her members, to crystalize individual progress and corporate advancement of the association. Many important issues of the polytechnic and that of the Alumni were critically reviewed and discussed, while positive conclusions were also reached on approaches to foster relationships between the association and the polytechnic.
In reaction, the Registrar of the polytechnic appreciates the executives while admonishing them to shun any form of radicalism, and emphasizing that development happens in a harmonious environment by working collectively with all members.
In conclusion, the General Secretary appreciates the two Patrons and all other members of the management present for their warm reception, love, encouragement, and advice.
In a bid to foster co-existing relationship with the host community, the Alumni Executives equally met with security apparatus within the polytechnic environment - The police and the DSS.
It’s noted that, security is a keen concern of all stakeholders which must be addressed at all time.
