Eighteen years old stepmother,Mrs Aisha Muhammed has been arrested by Adamawa State Police Command who tortured her stepdaughter with hot electrical iron.
The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Aisha Muhammed, an 18-year old
Sahara weekly learnt that the incident happened at Wuro Patuji Village, Mubi South Local Government Area, for torturing and maltreating her 5-year old stepdaughter.
The police spokes person, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident through a press statement, that the suspect took advantage of the minor.
Following the divorce of her mother, which brought her back under the care and custody of her stepmother.
The suspect is the second wife to the victim’s father, she committed the offence by using a hot iron, tortured and inflicted injury on the private part of the baby, on the account that she wet her bed with urine.
The suspect was arrested by the police operatives following a report received from Aisha Abdullahi, mother of the victim and her lawyer Barr. Khadija Nasir.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu , has commended the Federation of International Women Lawyers, FIDA, and the Police for exposing and making it impossible for criminals not to escape justice.
CP has directed for the further investigations, as the victim is under treatment.
